Sunday, September 20, 2026 -Dennis Whalen – Searching for David McCarty
For many of us, when we think of David McCarty, a few familiar images probably come to mind. We may think of him as a brigadier general in the American Revolution or associate him with the small stone house on Second Street in the Hamlet of Coeymans where he lived. Some may also recall that he married into the Coeymans family and was responsible for surveying the Coeymans Patent. As we will see, however, even some of these familiar elements of the McCarty story are not quite as straightforward as they first appear.
Join us on Sunday, September 20 at 2 p.m. when Dennis Whalen will take us through what he has discovered about the life of David McCarty of Coeymans.
