Annual Open House
Sunday, November 15, 2026 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary Through Art
featuring work by Students of Pieter B. Coeymans School
And the Museum's newest exhibit
"Coeymans and the Fight for Independence"
The Ravena Coeymans Historical Society is pleased to invite the community to its annual open house on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the Society’s museum.
In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, art students at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School created a special art display exploring America’s history, freedom, and future. Featuring patriotic landscapes, peaceful collages, Colonial-era ships, modern flag designs, ceramic sculptures, and eagles symbolizing freedom, the collection showcases the students’ creativity and unique perspectives. Through their artwork, the students honor our nation’s history and founding ideals while expressing hope for a promising future.
Visitors will also be able to view the museum’s newest exhibit, which highlights the local area’s role in America’s fight for independence.
This event is open to the entire community, and light refreshments will be served. The museum is located in the rear of the Village Municipal Building, 15 Mountain Road, Ravena, NY.
